FEATURED LODGES OF THE OKAVANGO DELTA
VUMBURA PLAINS
Vumbura Plains comprises two separate satellite camps in a prime wildlife area. Each camp has its own sumptuous raised lounge, dining and bar area with magnificent vistas across the Okavango Delta, while a deck with comfortable cushions protrudes into the floodplain for star-gazing or as a convivial camp fire setting. The minimalistic and contemporary tented rooms are vast and offer wonderful views over the Okavango Delta, with private plunge pools.
LITTLE VUMBURA
Little Vumbura is a beautiful small tented camp shaded by the canopy of an ancient forest and located on an island in the wildlife rich Vumbura concession. Each well-appointed tent has a deck with incredible vistas. A plunge pool and reading area overlook the floodplains and a star deck leads off over the water from the dining area. “Little Vum” as she is affectionately known is a firm favourite.
MOMBO AND LITTLE MOMBO
Mombo (and its smaller sister camp, Little Mombo) are located on the famed Chief’s Island – the crème de la crème of wildlife concessions in Botswana. Mombo is famed as the most productive wildlife camp in Botswana. The camps reopened in 2018 after a complete rebuild. As Mombo is a purely “dry” camp with no water activities, it is best combined with a “wet” camp where you can also experience quintessential mokoro (dug-out) canoe rides and boating.

DUBA PLAINS CAMP
Re-Opened in March 2017 the new Duba Plains Camp is one of the finest in the Delta. Vast tents offer guests private plunge pools, inside and outside showers, a sumptuous bath, outside sala bed, Canon professional camera equipment and Swarovski binoculars. The camp has an interactive show kitchen, wine cellar, library and media room. The camp is most famed for its Lion and Buffalo interactions.
SANDIBE SAFARI LODGE
This is andBeyond’s flagship lodge in Botswana and one of their most impressive feats. The architecture is exceptionally unique having been inspired by a Pangolin’s body armor. Organic and handmade, the lodge blends perfectly with its surroundings. A channel of clear water runs in front of the guest suites offering inspirational views of the Delta. Each suite has a private plunge pool.
LITTLE SABLE
With only 8 tents, this camp offers an authentic and intimate retreat. The tents are on the smaller side but perfect for a “thrills, not frills” safari. And for an extra treat you can add a stay at their extraordinary “sky-beds” located high up on a platform overlooking a bustling waterhole.
KHWAI LEADWOOD LODGE
The elegantly designed camp hosts six standard tents and one family unit, keeping in line with the intimate and exclusive wilderness experience. The new camp effortlessly bridges the gap between luxury accommodation and feeling like you’re in the great African outdoors. Woven baskets and beaded décor, along with modern elements, create an authentic contemporary African style.
XIGERA SAFARI LODGE
All but hidden amid a canopy of magnificent indigenous trees, Xigera offers 12 spacious suites; each individually designed to offer a unique experience. The lodge takes sustainability very seriously, is plastic free, and powered with Tesla solar-hybrid energy technology (Xigera is 95% solar-powered). The lodge is a unique celebration of African art and culture – a living gallery of African talent.
DUKES CAMP
This landmark new camp (opened 2022) was dreamed up by Ralph Bousfield, the creator of the iconic Jack’s Camp in the Kalahari (famed for its meerkats). Here you can enjoy the same yesteryear charm, this time with front-row seats to the verdant Okavango Delta. The camp itself has justifiably earned many a glossy spread, but make no mistake, it’s very much about the guided experience, and there’s plenty of wildlife including some of the largest concentrations of lion in the delta.
TULUDI
This is one of Colin Bell’s (the co-founder of Wilderness Safaris and Great Plains) latest projects. Colin’s obsession with space is reflected in the stylish “tents”, each with a private plunge pool overlooking the floodplains. This is undoubtedly one of our new favourite lodges in the Okavango Delta.
